Current Professional Engagements

Dr. Moorthy is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and Certified Yoga Instructor who specializes in Neurohealth Psychology. She works with adults and seniors who have psychiatric, neurological, and medical health concerns. She provides neurocognitive assessment, psychological therapy, and consultation services for clients and their care-partners. She also volunteers on the Diversity and Inclusion Council and the Clinical Ethics Board with Covenant Health.

Education and Professional Training

Dr. Moorthy completed her undergraduate education in Psychology at the University of Alberta. Following this, she earned a Masters and a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan, and completed her predoctoral residency at the Edmonton Consortium Clinical Psychology Residency program. She has worked as a clinical psychologist and as a consultant in neuropsychology in various health care settings both in Alberta and Saskatchewan since 2007. Dr. Moorthy is also a certified yoga instructor with over 300 hours of training in Hatha Yoga and Therapeutic Yoga.

Dr. Moorthy attends regular continuing education and professional training courses to enhance her knowledge and skills in the practice of psychology and yoga. Among other programs, she has completed intensive workshops in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness meditation, and therapeutic yoga with leading experts in these areas.

Professional Affiliations

Dr. Moorthy is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Canadian Psychological Association, the National Academy of Neuropsychology, and the Yoga Association of Alberta.
